Author(s): Sean Kerr
Bruce is in the garden; so someone is in the garden is a survey of the work of New Zealand artist Sean Kerr. Known for his employment of technology to make comic situations, object-entities and good-natured affronts, he has also made a large body of work in sound, noisy installation, video and 2D form. This major publication will be published following a survey exhibition of Kerr's work, curated by Emma Bugden and Andrew Clifford at Artspace, Auckland and the Gus Fisher Gallery at the University of Auckland. Including writing by Jon Bywater, Jan Bryant, Zita Joyce and Adam Willetts, Tessa Laird, Emma Bugden, Andrew Clifford and an interview by Tobias Berger, it also features an extensive chronology of his gregariously varied practice.
