In this book, Boyd describes Nabokov's grief at having to abandon the Russian language and also his relief at finally finding a home in America after years of exile. This book is the third in a series of books on the life and work of Vladimir Nabokov, the previous books being Vladimir Nabokov: The Russian Years and Nabokov's Ada: The Place of Consciousness.
