Frank Carpay

Author(s): Douglas Llloyd Jenkins

New Zealand | Design

This book is a celebration of the life and work of Frank Carpay, a talented New Zealander who received little or no recognition in his lifetime. After his death Frank's wife Carla preserved many examples of his work, deciding that the Hawke's Bay Museum should be the permanent home of their archives. His ceramics now reach record prices in auction rooms around the country, and his textiles are now admired for their originality.
